Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The chapter constitutes the Introduction of the book "Muslim students at school. Pluralism, religions, interculture.
At the center of the text's interest is Islam in the schools of the various orders and degrees of Italy. It is a multi-faceted presence: it is the religion professed (in a different way) by a growing number of pupils and their families, it is a theme that emerges (or does not emerge) in the curricula of the various disciplines, it is a question often at the center of the public, media and political discourse is a topic on which everyone “knows and says something” with the risk of falling into excessive simplifications and prejudices.
The Introduction presents the chapters that make up the text.
