[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution presents the essays collected in the miscellaneous volume, framing them in the tradition of the study days "Books and readers in Brescia between the Middle Ages and the Modern Age" which have been taking place since 2002 at the Brescia headquarters of the Catholic University. The text, later edited at the bottom of the volume, by the Brescia collector Ugo Da Como, which intended to illustrate what was then (1927) believed to be the first printed edition in Brescia, is also widely commented.
