Abstract

The essays here collected presents the results of an international research, which were presented in an international congress held in the Catholic University of Milano on May 12th 2011, under the auspices of the Austrian Consulship and the Austrian Cultural Forum, as well as in a seminary held in the same Unviersity on October 28th 2011. They deal with a central issue of educational historiography, videlicet the history of teacher training and of the progressive istituzionalization of academic pedagogy.
