[Autom. eng. transl.] A theoretical construct at the crossroads of various disciplines and methodologies, intersubjectivity is at the center of the most current debate in cognitive sciences. This interest derives from the ever-increasing awareness of the "ultra-social" character of the human species. The range of disciplines that include a branch of theoretical or experimental research in the field of intersubjectivity is very broad: neuropsychology and neuroscience; study of consciousness, emotions, embodiment, «relational mind», and more generally different areas of philosophy, ethology, clinical psychology and psychiatry, psychoanalysis. The volume Intersubjectivity and Interaction precisely collects the challenge of comparing the various disciplines in which the intersubjectivity paradigm is active, to explore the border territories and create spaces for debate. The curators thus brought together the contributions of leading exponents of the various disciplines in the international arena, to bring together the cognitive sciences, social cognition and neurosciences in the service of a better understanding of the I-Other relationship and of the practical effects (psychotherapy and not only) that it can have.
