Abstract

The aim of this essay is to delineate the principal elements of Fabro’s treatment of the dialectic between reason and will, a treatment that often overlaps the question about freedom. The essay examines the will’s primacy, the relation between God and will, the will’s participated creativity, the morality of the acts of the reason and of the acts of the will and their reciprocal immanence. Finally, it examines some problems of Fabro’s philosophy of will.
