Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The volume collects the contributions presented during the International Conference entitled "Institutions, society and markets: towards a new international balance", organized by the "Centesimus Annus - Pro Pontefice" Foundation and held on 4 and 5 May 2012 at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan, which dealt with a subject particularly discussed by the social doctrine of the Church, namely the relationships between state, society and economy. The writings here collected show how, to understand today's socio-economic crisis, it is necessary move away from a strictly economic vision and thus face the problem by placing it in the broader context of relations between institutions, society and the economy. The work is part of the "Centesimus Annus Pro Pontefice Foundation" series and is aimed at all Christian entrepreneurs and managers, but also at families and students of economic faculties.
