Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The debtor-creditor relationship in the event of insolvency has important ethical profiles. Several strands of ethical analysis can be recalled. The Social Doctrine of the Church proposes an autonomous vision: the debt contract, in all its phases, must be conformed in such a way as to condition "real and integral" economic well-being to the elements of human quality of the relationships that economic mechanisms alone , they are unable to produce and respecting the principle that finance is "at the service of man", be it debtor or creditor.
