[Autom. eng. transl.] This volume comes from a double experience of the writer: the didactic and the field research. Both have significantly influenced the development. In particular, the didactic experience has led to the conception of a text which, explicitly conceived as a tool for the students of a basic university course in methodology and technique of social research, was intended to be accessible to all and did not require a particular to be understood background of previous knowledge. This, however, without giving up the effort of exposure, however, correct in content and rigorous from a scientific point of view. In the first chapters of the volume the theme of social research is presented in general and some of the nodes are highlighted and some of the most significant concepts are illustrated. The text then focuses its attention on one of the many possible ways of doing social research, and in particular on one of the tools that can be used in this sense: the structured questionnaire.
