Abstract

Glutathione in the reduced form was found reduced in the blood of travertine male workers. This finding was mirrored by increased levers of circulating reactive species, suggesting the presence of systemic inflammation in these workers exposed to the inhalation of high amounts of calcium carbonate dust.
