Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution questions the progress of gender balance in companies and production, film and audiovisual initiatives in Italy. By reading and commenting on a large amount of data on the presence of women in the sector, the essay provides an assessment of the effectiveness of the gender balancing policies introduced by the 2016 Law (220/2016) and identifies some nodes and areas on where to concentrate efforts to make the cinematographic and audiovisual system inclusive and capable of enhancing all talents and requests.
