Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] A fifty-year long journey through the pages of Europe's longest-running children's magazine: "Il Giornalino". From the difficult beginnings during the Fascist period up to the end of the Seventies, this research investigates for the first time the reasons that led to the birth of the publication of the Pious Society of Saint Paul, its specificity as the bearer of Catholic values between children and adolescents, the role of mediation between the opposing instances of formation and evasion. At the center the special relationship established with the readers and the educational mission of the "Giornalino", a "paper friend" with whom to confront and dialogue.
