Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] In the panorama of the philosophy of Italian law, Bruno Montanari was among the first to start a reflection on the relationship between scientific knowledge, new technologies and ethical-legal regulation, with a methodological approach which, while maintaining its own theoretical figure, is close to both in epistemic analysis both in normative conclusions, in social studies on science and technology (STS, Science & amp; Technology Studies) and in the perspective of Post-Normal Science (PNS). But, at the same time, Montanari has long cultivated and deepened, with a personal Kantian reading, the intersections between ethical and existential dimensions, also looking at the role of soft law that individual moral decisions can acquire in the complexity of contemporary civic life.
The two thematic perspectives, which occupied an important part of Bruno Montanari's reflection, revealed, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, unsuspected connections, acquiring a truly special meaning and importance in the general epistemic and normative disorientation generated by the emergency.
These pages offer a reflection on the relationship between the two themes, which have become crucial in the current historical moment: a moment that will perhaps represent a significant turning point in the way of thinking about both science as an open and uncertain path and the way in which tools change. regulations that concern you.
