Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay examines the section of the "Bote vom Gardasee" which for fifteen years hosted an immense mass of advertisements from the world of the Garda Riviera, and beyond. The strategies of advertising communication of the different categories identified are illustrated in a diachronic perspective: from the insertions of the numerous accommodation facilities on the lake to the property and work announcements, from the advertisements of companies and shops to the promotion of different types of products marketed in Italy and abroad. The promotional tool is also read here as a document that allows both to recognize the peculiarities of the professional and social environment of which it was an expression and to detect the many typical aspects of the daily life of foreigners who were staying on Lake Garda in the early twentieth century.
