Abstract
The essay discusses the need for educational research to come out of a widespread self and embrace a rigorous epistemological and methodological challenge of interdisciplinarity and comparison with authentic cultural and social scenario. The pedagogy strength is in fact anchored both to the soundness of its foundations and the ability to modulate the contents, objects and methods in relation to the renewed relationship between theory and practical, which innervates the concept of pedagogy as a science of education. Reflection is therefore focus primarily on the relationship between theory, practice and policymaking.
