Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The article presents an analysis of the novels by Danila Comastri Montanari set during the reign of the emperor Claudius, trying to outline what the image of Rome and the Romanization of the provinces is that the author wants to spread to the vast public, not necessarily made up of specialists in ancient history or Latin literature. The article analyzes, reviewing the novels having as protagonist and investigator the fictional character of the senator Publio Aurelio Stazio oil treatment operated by the author on the theme of the myth and its presence in daily life, of family ties, of the assimilation of the conquered peoples in the bed of the Empire.
