Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The author summarizes the salient contents of the 10th "Symposium on pesticide defense in the food industries and food protection", held in Piacenza from 20 to 22 September 2017. The five-year conference was organized like the previous editions by entomologists of DI.PRO VE.S. of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart. The budget of the event is largely positive both for the number of participants and for the number and quality of the contributions presented and of the authors. The Symposium made it possible to take stock in an updated manner on the state of the art in terms of pesticide problems in the food industries.
