Abstract
The contribution questions how the proposal for responsible welfare is able to respond in an innovative way to the old and new forms of poverty that still characterize Italian society. Through empowering activation, the reticulation of subjects in an et-et logic, the construction of social spaces of proximity, communities become competent over their lives, able to understand needs and to activate rapid, efficient and effective responses.
