Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Corporate welfare has become one of the most interesting grounds for second-level bargaining and has the potential to develop it towards a virtuous balance between corporate interests of competitiveness and trade union interests in improving the quality of life of workers. On the basis of these premises, the article discusses corporate and contractual welfare by drawing on the data of the CISL Lombardia Observatory. More specifically, of the business agreements signed between 2005 and 2013 in medium-large companies in Lombardy, the article proposes an interpretative analysis, and not merely descriptive, which intends to give an account of the measures implemented and the related purposes, as well as strategies and dynamics (trade union, managerial, employers) underlying. The objective of the proposed in-depth analysis is to critically address the emerging relationship between integrative welfare and work relations structures and to offer discussion points to understand how to change the nature of the relationship between capital and labor and what it is, to its internal, the role of representation.
