Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The excavations conducted in the two-year period 2017-2018 at Palazzo Pignano have returned a nucleus of ceramic finds. Almost all of it comes from the rustic-housing sector and can be dated to the 4th-6th century AD; only a small nucleus can be traced back to an older period of the high imperial age. Most of the finds are attributable to common fire pottery. There are also attested fragments of black-painted pottery, thin-walled pottery, terra sealata produced in the Po Valley and Africa
