Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] An edition of tetsi taken from the archiovius of the poet Clemente Rebora in Stresa. "Give me your Christmas" asks Clemente Rebora in a verse of his last years of physical and spiritual suffering: "Lord, give me your Christmas / internal fire in human frost". The elderly poet implores a sign that warms and upsets the "dark night" of existence and its "passion". The pages collected here, with many new unpublished works, are a lyrical and interior fan open on the theme of Christmas that unites the incandescent letters in the youthful years of the Lyric Fragments (in which he refuses "to scribble the bowing wishes of occasion") and the poems chronologically far from late maturity but spiritually very close: "I would need to answer questions - in short, something that would invest practical relevance for ever".
