Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The preface highlights the structural modernity of the D'Annunzian novel, emphasizing the links with the culture of the late nineteenth century and in particular with Wagner and Schopenhauer. The author believes that the vulgar criticism that he would like to make of the protagonist of the "Triumph" a superman is completely inexistent and seriously flawed.
