Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The third sector represents a strategic component of the Italian and international context which, in the volume, is analyzed in the light of two interpretative guidelines: the social subjectivity of the third sector within a scenario that, although in fieri, seems to move towards a welfare state plural and the generational perspective as a distinctive feature of the relationships that qualify it, making it a social environment in which the different generations come into contact by exchanging values, social meanings and intervention practices. Methodological, programmatic and operational findings emerging from this cognitive and interpretative framework were also considered. In this way, it was possible to conduct a sociological analysis related to the Italian situation which, taking advantage of theoretical reflections and empirical findings, reaches the point of outlining the social identity of the third sector and its peculiar contribution to corporate needs, in particular in the area of personal services.
