Abstract
The article presents the case of an ancient thermal and holiday resort; it reached the height of its development in the first imperial age; later it became a place of worship and devotion in the middle age. Afterwards it was rediscovered for its therapeutic qualities and finally it became once more a thermal establishment from the beginning of the 20th century.
