Il SuperEco. Umberto Eco, Superman e i media studies

[Autom. eng. transl.] The idea of this volume evidently stems from an anniversary occasion: Apocalyptic and integrated accomplished in 2014 fifty years. On several sides media, communication and semiotics scholars have recalled its publication, reasoning on its actuality, on what that combination - apocalyptic and integrated - meant, on what that work anticipated of the semiotically more mature Echo. The interventions that are collected here represent the collection of these reflections, bringing together the results of two dedicated round tables in the academic field (one at the University of Bologna in March 2014, one at the University of Teramo in the following October, on the occasion of the XLII Conference of the Italian Association of Semiotic Studies) and of a section, curated by Gianfranco Marrone, of the "doppiozero" cultural site.
