Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Due to the demographic dynamics and the crisis of tax resources available for the welfare systems, the condition of non-self-sufficiency is increasingly imposed on us, both for adults with disabilities and, above all, for old age. The volume intends to investigate, through an original research method, the theme of the social coping of life problems and the way in which it can be facilitated by aid professionals. The survey, which is certainly of interest to professionals in the sector and scholars, shows the work actually carried out by social workers in situations of non-self-sufficiency, with the aim of highlighting the distinctive characteristics of their contribution and identifying the professional practices that can be more effective in engaging and supporting the assistance processes.
