[Autom. eng. transl.] The Report opens with two chapters that describe, on the one hand, the trend of the world's agri-food economies and markets, and on the other, Community and national policies for the agri-food sector. The economic trends that characterized regional agriculture in 2019 occupy the central part of the Report, with four chapters dedicated to agriculture: production and profitability of the sector, vegetable production, livestock production, credit and use of production factors. In the following chapters the other relevant aspects of the regional agri-food system are dealt with such as the food industry, with the economic dynamics and some structural insights on technical means and employment, trade with foreign countries, which highlight the importance of the region exports and imports of agricultural and food products, food distribution, in which we focus on the strategies of distribution companies, food consumption, where the evolution and composition of food expenditure at national and regional level is highlighted . The volume also contains the description of the interventions of the 2014-2020 Rural Development Program and of the policies at regional level and ends with two chapters dedicated respectively to the activities of the regional chamber system in favor of the agro-food chain and to internationalization projects. of the Emilia-Romagna Region for the enhancement of agro-food products.
