[Autom. eng. transl.] The 2020 Report on the situation and prospects of the agri-food system in Lombardy it constitutes an organic contribution to knowledge of the characteristics of one of the most important systems regional in the European panorama. The objective of the Report, which has reached the eighteenth edition, is to provide information to the operators of the sector and an overall reference framework for public actors. The information contained in the Report is updated as of September 2020. The first part of the volume reports the analysis of the main ones events of 2019 and the first nine months of the current year and of the perspectives of the system at regional and international level. The second part is initially composed of a large picture of synthesis of the structural and economic characteristics of the agri-food system Lombard. Three chapters dedicated to the analysis of agricultural policies at EU, national and regional level, with one photograph of their current configuration and examination of the trends in act. In the third part of the Report the main components are considered of the agri-food system: retail distribution, industry food and agriculture, also including the analysis of exchanges with abroad of the regional and national system. The fourth part is reserved for the analysis of production factors, and in particular of the employment of manpower, of the technical means, of the credit agricultural and land market. The concluding part of the volume concerns the analysis of the most significant supply chains of plant and animal production of the region. The trends are described for each of them economic conditions of agricultural production, processing, consumption and product prices. In the last two chapters of this edition the main characteristics of the supply chains of organic and PDO / PGI products food present in Lombardy.
