Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay analyzes the characteristics of primary and secondary education in one of the historical provinces of the Kingdom of Naples during the French Decade, highlighting the seriousness of the government's efforts in this sector, but also the numerous difficulties with which the project of acculturation of the masses had to measure up.
