[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay contains some literary suggestions on the topic of women's role in the perpetuation of gender hierarchy. Starting from some examples offered by the literature, reflections are developed on the cultural roots of violence against women as women, on the so-called adaptive preferences, on the phenomenon of victim-blaming and, lastly, on the need for a wide-ranging political-criminal strategy that aims, first and foremost, to overcome any gender disparity.
