Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay questions the relationship between publishing and digitization starting from the first term, looking at the latter as a historical occurrence of the broader genre of technological innovation. The intervention is structured in four parts: the first summarizes the previous influences of technological innovations on the publishing world; the second focuses on the various stages of digitization within the publishing world, the third deals with the current stage of convergence innovation in terms of modeling, and finally, in the fourth part, some hypotheses are formulated on the possible future scenarios of publishing.
