Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] As Olivier Reboul writes, similarity, like metaphor, is a source of poetry, since it brings together beings of which we do not notice the resemblance. Considering their frequency of use and the different constructive mechanisms, in this work the use of similarity is analyzed in Pochoždenija Šipova, ili Starinnyj vodevil '(The adventures of Šipov or An ancient vaudeville) which is one of the main expressive means of which one the writer is needed to represent and characterize the characters of the novel and, above all, the protagonist.
