Abstract

The essay illustrates the architectural evolution and the rich pictorial apparatus of the cemetery church of Nigoline di Corte Franca, in the diocese of Brescia. The articulated stratification of the decorative complex, in particular, and the different building phases of the ancient parish church, dedicated to the martyr of Calcedonia, make this small chapel in Franciacorta one of the most beautiful, interesting and worthy of conservation in the Brescia area, especially in reference to the cycle of the Stories of Saint Euphemia, attributable to the school of Floriano Ferramola.
