Abstract

The underworld constitutes for María Zambrano the materially and methodologically necessary condition of love, mind and being. In their darkness are guarded luminous filaments. The intellect of love that feeds on them can conceive their very reversal. Dante is exemplary for the philosopher because in the mirror of his singular universality the circulation of light in pain is finally reflected.
