Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution presents an experience and an ongoing evaluation of the same, which sees the citizens as protagonists of a good social health practice. This is an ongoing experiment at the Asst Vallecamonica-Sebino, in the province of Brescia: the project "EPE: the psychiatry department opens its doors to family members". Since April 2014, EPE (experts from experience) have been present in the psychiatric ward, alongside the operators, a group made up of people who directly know the experience of mental illness as they live it.
