Il profilo del laureato magistrale in scienze infermieristiche e ostetriche in Italia: dall’analisi dei regolamenti didattici d’ateneo alle competenze distintive

[Autom. eng. transl.] Introduction The aim of the study is to describe the distinctive skills of the graduate nurse and highlight new areas of professional practice of this figure in relation to the needs of health organizations. Material and methods The study is descriptive-correlational (cross-sectional). The tool used for the analysis of the qualifying training objectives of the university educational regulations was a reading grid constructed ex novo by the working group. Results The study involved the documentation of 29 Italian universities in the 2012-2013 period. The graduate nurse is a professional with managerial skills, in line with the training mandate of master's degree courses in nursing and midwifery sciences (CLMSIO), but from the analysis of the results six different profiles of master's degree nurses emerge. The hypothesis that on the diversification of the curricula have acted two predictors, namely the previous presence, in the same university, of a school directed for special purposes for the head of the nursing assistance (DAI / IID) and / or the presence of a coordinator or teacher of reference belonging to the sector of general nursing, clinical and pediatric sciences (MED / 45), nothing was demonstrated by the ANOVA test (Kruskal-Wallis). Conclusions According to the needs of social and health care, it is urgent to make the training of the graduate nurse more flexible and dynamic, diversifying the training path towards an advanced nursing practice, also in order to improve employment opportunities.
