Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] We propose to retrace the events that led to the formation of the civil code of the Kingdom of Italy within the twofold perspective, not infrequently antithetical, of jurists and politicians. Secondly, we intend to highlight the role assumed by the first Italian civilians who, through their commentaries, have helped to bring out the national legal canon. Finally, the content of the provisions of the code and the legislative and doctrinal evolution are analyzed.
