Abstract
The book analyses the social media in a critical way, grounding on Foucault's perspective (Chapter four). In particular, the first chapter analyses the history of digitization, since the seventies, underlining the main relationships between technologies, economics and ideology. The second chapter studies a case of an Italian blog attacked by trolls, working about the mechanisms of trust involved in the mediated communication in the web 2.0. The third chapter is about a political case: the local elections in Milan in 2011, and the use made by social media of the humouristic counterattack.
