Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution focuses on the long gestation of the Treviglio polyptych (1485-1490), focusing on the activity of Bernardino Butinone and Bernardo Zenale before, during and shortly after this important pictorial undertaking. If, in the case of the older Butinone, the junctures of an activity that had begun years earlier are more clearly delineated, in that of Zenale the study of the first phases of the polyptych allows us to identify a research path useful for tracing the master's training within the most important societies of Lombard painters active during the eighth decade of the fifteenth century.
