Abstract

Ms Ambr. Trotti 330 is the only witness of a hitherto unknow poem on the conquest of the Spanish city of Almeria by the fleet of Genoa in 1147. The poem is fragmentary, less than a half of the text (1337 lines) survives; the manuscript is autograph by the author, who was a member of the expedition. A description of the manuscript is given, as well as a summary of the text content and comments on the relevant historical information.
