Il pensiero linguistico di Leopardi

Translated title of the contribution: [Autom. eng. transl.] Leopardi's linguistic thought

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

In the complex cross-boundary paths related to linguistic reflection, what clearly emerges is that linguistic thought itself allows Leopardi to re-problematize certain nuclei that are apparently stabilized within his speculation. Starting from some ideas of Condillac, Destutt de Tracy and Cabanis, who had placed language in the realm of the physical and the material, Leopardi transcends these positions, conducting reason to the threshold of the “beyond”, and refusing the aseptic materialistic coherence that seems to him rationally unreliable.
