Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

[Autom. eng. transl.] The article examines the conception of political freedom in two Islamist thinkers, the Egyptian Muahammad 'Imara and the Tunisian Rachid Ghannouchi. The first, starting from the theological debate on free will, comes to elaborate a model of Islamic democracy which, however, does not escape the blind alley of theocracy. The intellectual journey of the second appears to be suspended between full practical adherence to democracy and still partial assimilation of its ideal foundations, particularly with regard to freedom of conscience.
