Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] In recent years we have witnessed the emergence of new actors and social aggregates that present themselves with unusual objectives, organizations and approaches with respect to traditional forms. We have not yet developed a shared vocabulary, necessary to interpret these realities, but some categories can help us build the maps referred to by the title of this section. In these pages I propose a reflection on «non-formal», a concept that arises from the debate on education and which I extend to the analysis of new social practices and processes. The non-formal helps to interpret some of the transformations that affect cultural intermediaries: their role, organizational forms and intervention practices.
