Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The person subjected to criminal proceedings has two fundamental interests: knowledge, as soon as possible, of the accusation made against him, so that he can defend himself, and respect for his private life. In mirror image, there is the claim of the investigating authorities to maintain the secrecy of the investigations and the interest of the community to be informed about the administration of justice. Hence the need to identify a point of balance between the various values at stake
