Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Three great names of culture, Jewish (Lévinas), Catholic (Marcel), and Reformed (LaCocque), pay tribute to Martin Buber, a prestigious figure of the twentieth century intellectuality. These are not occasional interventions, but intertwining thoughts among men who know each other personally. The texts, presented together for the first time, document a meeting made up of consents, disagreements and important reinterpretations. Now the reflection with multiple voices prevails, now the testimony and the discussion, now the intercultural dialogue and the question of the Jewish root of Christianity. While the first part of the book presents the Colloquium on Buber of 1966 and the direct exchanges between Buber, Marcel and Lévinas, the second part focuses on the decline of the myth of the relationship and the debate on responsibility towards the Other.
