Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Network work in the area of social-assistance services does not consist solely in coordinating the services provided by different professionals and bodies, nor even in the mere use of volunteering. The essential element of this methodology consists in the role of "relational guide" of the social operator, which supports the people involved in identifying the right solution for them. This book exemplifies how this driving function can be concretely realized. The text, after having introduced the fundamental concepts of the network method developed by Folgheraiter, contains the rigorous methodological analysis of an articulated case study, showing how the relational approach can be applied both to individual problem situations concerning an individual or a family unit , both to collective projects.
