[Autom. eng. transl.] The Report on the Milk Market, edited by the Observatory on the Market of Zootechnical Products, which reaches its twenty-fifth edition, is proposed as a tool for knowledge of the dairy sector in support of those who, for different reasons - whether they are public institutions , professional organizations, membership structures, business operators and scholars - are called to contribute to the functioning of this sector. The main effort was therefore to combine completeness, timeliness and relevance of the information provided and the analyzes carried out, with the summary necessary to make it an effective tool. The long-standing and qualified tradition that the Observatory can boast in the field of sector analysis is the guarantee of a marked scientific rigor associated with concreteness and adherence to the problems of one of the most complex and articulated sectors of the national agro-food sector. The approach of the study provides that it is not limited to a simple listing of market events; rather, it represents an analysis of the entire production chain, capable of providing interpretation keys which, starting from the behavior of the individual operators and the contractual instruments for determining the price of milk, consider the effects of the international scenario and of the Community sector policies.
