[Autom. eng. transl.] From their first appearance (2007) to today, green bonds have gradually attracted the attention of investors, institutional and retail, issuers, markets, academia and supranational and regulatory bodies that are attempting to establish a common defining perimeter and shared in order to avoid the phenomenon of greenwashing (green painting). This contribution presents an overview as complete as possible of the green bonds market, of their cases, of the subjects involved, focusing on a decidedly important issue: what is the return on an investment in green bonds? Is the so-called greenium identifiable, i.e. a systematic lower profitability of green bonds compared to conventional bonds? The debate remains, for the moment, open.
