Abstract
Within the yearly Italian Report on Migrations (2009’s edition) realised by the ISMU Foundation – the main Italian scientific institution on migrations and interethnic cohabitation – this chapter focuses the attention on migrants’ insertion in the Italian labour market. After providing a general picture of the characterising features of migrant labour demand’s and supply’s, it presents some of the results emerging from an inquiry about employers’ attitudes towards migrant workers. Finally, it develops some concluding remarks and suggestions about the policies regulating labour migrations..
