Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution is included in a monographic issue of the "Notebooks for dialogue and peace" (published by the CEEP of Milan) entitled: "The problems of work thirty years after Laborem Exercens". The essay aims to reconstruct the place of work in the Italian constitutional system, not only as a primary productive factor, but, first and foremost, because it is elevated to the foundation of republican and democratic Italy, pursuant to art. 1, co. 1, Constitution.
