Abstract
The article analyses the recent “Green Deal” proposal put forward by the European Commission in order to pursue the goal of climate neutrality in the EU by 2050. This objective will be achieved through a number of complementary actions falling under different competences of the Union. The article takes into consideration the main legal tools the European Commission will use to implement the Green Deal and will attempt to assess their effectiveness.
